I could not be more thankful to Jamila & Chris who
hired me to travel to South Africa to photograph their incredible wedding day!

but never the same love twice”

“Come with me my love
to the sea
the sea of love
I want to tell you
How much I love you”
Today I wanted to share this special engagement session
of Justine & Lexy – two incredibly awesome and light hearted
people. We got up for the sunrise over the ocean the day before
the Forth of July and it was well worth the early morning alarm clock.
p.p.s. I also have an exciting announcement coming up this week! Stay tuned 😉
Yesterday morning I had the privledge of photographing Jessica, a beautiful musician and teacher.
Her spirit was so uplifting and joyful, I’m so glad that our paths crossed and we were able to create photographs together.
Here’s a preview of the session.. I hope you’ll enjoy!
Have a beautiful Sunday everyone
“A SOMETHING in a summer’s day,
As slow her flambeaux burn away,
Which solemnizes me.
A something in a summer’s noon,—
An azure depth, a wordless tune,
And still within a summer’s night
A something so transporting bright,
I clap my hands to see;”
Emily Dickinson (Except from LXIII)
I began working on my senior project a few weeks ago,
the second photo is an excerpt and I can’t wait until it’s finished.
I hope you’re having a beautiful week!
i can’t be the only one who is so
mesmerized by the smell of honeysuckles throughout the air.
last night i tried to photograph the beauty that was in
the quickly falling sunset, i love the way the greens were richer & cooler
and the way that the sky lit up my skin with its color
have a beautiful evening everyone
the first marriage that I want to share is of my beautiful friend Alix, and her husband Adam
Alix is one of the most inspiring classmates I’ve had in my photography program at Notre Dame,
her photographs of people & the body could make me stare in wonder for days.
Naturally, because of that, I was insanely nervous to photograph her elopement,
but with the amount of love present in the early morning of February 21st,
there was no denying that beautiful images were bound to be created.
from early morning drives, wandering through alleys, tearful first looks,
and vowel exchanges over muffins and tea.. there was something insanely
beautiful and romantic about this elopement, I can still feel the emotion as I sit here
and upload these images. I know these two will go on to
live happily in each others presence.
Until next time,
